I’ve been using the same CSV importer and trying to get it to pass on meta info to yoast, and I’d already tried the steps you listed here. In fact, I’ve tried with both CSV Importer, which you mention in step 1, and Ultimate CSV Importer, which is the plugin shown in the screencaps. If I use Ultimate CSV to upload, in the uploaded post _yoast_wpseo_metadesc and its value show up in the “custom fields” section, but the yoast plugin appears to ignore it, and fails to change add the new meta data. If I try with CSV Importer, the data doesn’t seem to show up anywhere. Any idea what’s going wrong?
    Thanks

You mention the plugin CSV Importer. But in your screenshots and directions, you are showing the plugin WP Ultimate CSV importer. What gives?

Well that’s why I added the screenshots, everytime they update the importers on the wordpress website, they adjust the names, so I added the screenshots so you can quickly see what you need to get it done….
